Dr. Nellone E. Reid received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (2014), as well as a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (2008) from Hampton University. Dr. Reid became interested in the sciences through research as a high school intern at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, performing studies which focused on cancer detection and elimination.  Although, previously working as a Technology Consultant at Accenture, LLC, Dr. Reid now returns to Hampton University as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, excited and hoping to inspire a new generation of Hamptonian engineers.  His professional affiliations include memberships with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the National Society of Black Engineers, among others. Dr. Reid has multiple publications and presented technical reports and conference abstracts in the areas of bio-inspired reaction engineering, environmental catalysis, and quantitative modeling.
